Target Group

The course is aimed at advanced graduate students and researchers in post-doc positions who have research projects or papers related to the topic of the course.


Applicants will be required to send a proposal of their papers in advance as part of their application, and to submit a fully developed version three weeks prior to the start of the SUN course. Each participant will present their work in one of the afternoon workshops. The SUN course will provide good opportunity to participants to discuss intersectionality related theoretical, methodological and other research questions in a workshop-like environment. They will also have the opportunity to receive feedback on their own research work both in a peer setting, as well as from course resource persons.

  • Language requirement

    The language of instruction is English; thus all applicants have to demonstrate a strong command of spoken and written English to be able to participate actively in discussions at seminars and workshops. (In some instances shortlisted applicants may be contacted for a telephone interview.)
